Integrative Medicine

Experience Whole-Body Health with Integrative Medicine

Integrative Medicine combines conventional medical treatments with alternative, natural and holistic therapies that have scientific evidence of safety and effectiveness. In addition, Integrative Medicine takes the whole person, body, mind and spirit, in to account when evaluating health and determining treatment plans.

I fully embrace the main tenets of Integrative Medicine and incorporate these important beliefs into my practice every day. I am proud to be certified in Integrative Medicine through the American Board of Integrative and Holistic Medicine (ABIHM). – Nishath Hakim, MD

Main Principles of Integrative Medicine

Patient and practitioner should be partners in the healing process

All factors that influence a person’s health and wellness should be considered, including body, mind, spirit and even community

Only appropriate conventional and scientifically sound alternative methods should be used to heal and prevent illness

Use natural, effective, less-invasive interventions whenever possible
